Vendor Show-December 2011
Our second and final vendor show of 2011 has come and gone. It was a good show, and the light snow that barely blanketed Southern Wisconsin really put us in the Christmas Spirit.
We headed to the show, with tons of product in hand and although we got there a little later than we would have liked, we got everything up and running in no time. The special thing about this show was that all the vendors were women and it was geared primarily towards women.
Many of the vendors there were selling Avon, Lia Sophia, Miché bags, Tastefully Simple or something of the sort. We were the only vendor there selling stuff that we made from a company we owned. We had many people come to us and ask us how we found out about Sugar Tree Press and how we started selling it. We then explained to them that it was our company and we owned it.
This show was only 4 hours long but it was busy with a steady stream of people coming though at all times. We had some sales and once again thought the show was a moderate success. As always, we learned a few things and are always continuing to think of ways to improve what we are doing.
We had a lot of ready made product and of course our trusty stapler Regis made an appearance. Here are some pictures :
1-Table set up
2-Regis with new friends. Please meet: Scissors-Sally Jesse Raphael, Pens-Abraham & a yet to be named companion.
3-Table set up
4-Our sign, which laid mostly flat with no additional help from scissors OR forks.
5-Our adorable chocolate bar snowmen. With fleece hats and scarves. Hats hand sewn by Lindsey.
6-Our assortment of cuppie toppers, including New Years, Snowflake, Penguin and Santa & Friends.
We have a lot of exciting things going on and are very eager to share all those things with you.
Check back soon!

Vendor Show-Take 2
Sugar Tree Press will be doing its second vendor show this weekend in Southern Wisconsin. This is going to be a smaller show with only about 10 vendors but we feel any exposure is good exposure. For this show we are focusing primarily on ready made items. Most of which will have a Christmas/Holiday theme. We are running around like crazy trying to get everything together. Please check back for pictures.

Our First Vendor Show
Going in, neither myself or Lindsey knew quite what to expect, but we knew we had to do the show. It was a small show with about 20 vendors so while we were getting prepared we weren't sure what to make, to bring. We both truly believe that Sugar Tree Press one day will be at huge vendor shows so we knew that in order for this to happen we had to start somewhere. The difficult thing was, we weren't sure what kind of products to bring because you never know the audience you will get and what they will be looking for.
We brought almost all our collection samples with us, many samples of Christmas cards, perpetual calendars, fill in the blank invites, and blank cards among other things. We did a lot of networking and met some amazing people. We were very grateful for this experience and have learned so much from just this first show. On the way home, Lindsey and I both discussed how we both felt that the show went very well, and looking back there was nothing we wished we would have done differently. We consider it a success and are already planning another show in a couple of weeks in December! We took lots of pictures and had a great time. Not all the pictures made the cut. Some that didn't make the cut include Lindsey and myself jamming to N'SYNC on Pandora and a picture of our fancy new Intuit Gadget that hooks up to an iPhone and allows us to process credit cards and check immediately. Below are the ones that made the cut:
1) Most of our collections laid out on our very nice gray fabric.
2) Minnie Mouse inspired-Zebra collection.
3) Forever (perpetual) Calendars.
4) Mickey & Minnie inspired Classic Collection
5) Day you were Born certificate and Family Tree
6) Our pink bedazzled stapler named Regis (Rege for short). We love it!
7) Woody & Buzz inspired collection
8) Sometimes you have to improvise. Our banner kept folding up so we taped scissors to the back so it hung nicely.
9) Our tables all laid out. A good friend of ours made the structure where we hung our cards. We are so appreciative that he was able to do this for us so last minute.
We wanted to make sure we send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped us prepare for this show and to everyone who came out to see us!

New Product!
Sugar Tree Press is excited to announce that they will be introducing a bunch of new product over the next few days. They have been working very hard on getting new product designed, tweaked and printed.
There will be a lot of new Christmas card designs as well as some new invitations for birthdays as well as baby showers.
Sugar Tree Press is also excited to be featuring what they call "Forever Calendars" (more commonly known as perpetual calendars). These are calendars that ONLY contain the month and a list of days so you can write down birthday, anniversaries and other important events the occur year after year. It is a great way to keep track of those important days without having to update it to a new calendar every year.
Sugar Tree Press is also going to be featuring family trees, day you were born certificates and photo wreaths.
It is the hope that pictures will be available soon!
Sugar Tree Press will also be a vendor in a craft show happening this weekend in Southern WI.
Make sure to check back soon for photos from this exciting event!

Featured Party: Sophia's Candy Land Adventure
My first 'big' party was for a sweet little girl named Sophia. Sophia was turning one and her mom, Jessica, contacted me through Etsy. I had a great time helping Jessica out with the party - it was helpful that she was really creative. In the two months I spent helping Jessica prepare for Sophia's party we became great friends.
10) Sophia holding onto a water bottle - label designed by STP.
11) Mini-Hershey Bar Wrappers. I sent Jessica this digital file, she took it to Staples and had it printed. Depending on your party size it can be very cost effective to print yourself.
12) I had such a great time helping out Jessica that I thought I would include a little gift for Sophia.
In the seven months since I helped plan this party I have learned a lot! I am so grateful Jessica allowed me to be part of Sophia's special day!
1) Jessica had a local baker create her a Candy Land Theme cake. The cake even include parts of the game board!
2) I love how each of her cupcakes had their own uniqueness.
3) A Candy Land path was created with colored card stock.
4) I created this "I AM ONE" high chair banner for her. I printed and shipped the letters and she assembled with rainbow colored ribbons.
5)I printed this banner and Jessica assembled.
6)These are Sugar Tree Press gift tags attached to toothbrushes. I loved this idea paired up with the candy buffet.
7) A cavity waiting to happen. I designed the hershey wrappers and the 'Grab a Bag' sign.
8) Jessica came to me with this idea, I printed and sent little circles with each month on it, to attach to it's respective photo. 1 month all the way to 1 year.

Getting Ready for the Holidays
This is the first year Sugar Tree Press is going to actively participate in the Holiday Season. We are going to provide a variety of cards such as Christmas, Hannukah, and the good 'ol standard 'Holiday' cards. We will also supply fun and festive favors & decorations for your holiday party.
Here is a sneak peak at a few items from our Holiday Collection!
Here is a sneak peak at a few items from our Holiday Collection!
Since Sugar Tree Press is a small at home business, my husband and I decided that for Christsmas this year we would only be buying for small local or at home businesses. We started buying early in July and are pleased with the awesome items we have been able to find. Between my husband and I, we have six brothers to buy for. We are completely stumped! We were able to find a great hand crafted gift for my father-in-law but it's a little pricey to buy for six more people. If you can recommend some businesses that would be great!
Have you started thinking about the Holidays yet? If you were to have a Holiday party, what type of decorations or party supplies would you use?

Introduction to STP
This blog is going to showcase latest items, giveaways and information about our products. If you're not familiar with Sugar Tree Press, let me explain.
Sugar Tree Press was started by Lindsey. Back in 2008, She was 20-something, pregnant with her first daughter, and had quite a bit of time on her hands. At first it was just a hobby, a time passer, but after teaching herself how to really design, she opened up shop online. Lindsey started off with Etsy, she uploaded the designs of a couple stationary items and before long Sugar Tree Press was a hit !
It's been all up-hill since then. Sugar Tree Press has furnished many parties and events with all their customized, printed needs. Everything from a first birthday up to a wedding, and everything in between.
We now have a facebook page, that we promote current items with, and any other great news ( giveaways! )
Ontop of the facebook page we're all proud to announce that there is a website in the works, where you're able to shop online with ease.
Please feel free to click any highlighted text above, it is the link to that specific page or website.
