New Collection: Crazy for Cupcakes!
The inspiration for this collection came about because I was on the hunt for the perfect theme/color combination for my niece's first birthday party. As it was stated in the featured party post, it took a bit to come up with cupcakes ('cuppies' I like to call them), but once the theme was decided, it was easy to design around it. There are cupcakes galore as well as the age the child was turning (in this case the number '1' was used). In addition a 'Happy Birthday' message was added to parts of the design; specifically in the cupcake toppers. The design came out great!

Featured Party: Emersyn's Cupcake Party
After what seemed like months and months (which really was just a couple weeks) of trying to think of the perfect theme for my niece's first birthday party and having free reign to do whatever I wanted, the idea of cupcakes and the number "1" was the winner. The design itself was done MONTHS before her actual birthday because I wanted everything to be absolutely perfect. Not only was this my Goddaughter's First birthday, a good portion of my family and my sister and brother-in-law's family and friends would see the work that Lindsey and I work so hard to make perfect come to life for the first time. I wanted and needed everything to be as perfect as possible.
1: Cuppie toppers, in cuppies, in a fancy cuppie stand.
2: Thank Yous!
3: Emersyn's very own birthday cake, a GIANT cuppie!
4: Invites!
5: Emersyn enjoying her cake!
6: Close up of the cuppie toppers
7: Emersyn's fancy outfit. A tutu made by Stephanie at Tutus for Utoo (check her out on facebook!) and her shirt hand sewn by Lindsey and myself to match the "1" on her invites and cuppie toppers
8: High-chair banner!
Lindsey and I are both so happy with how this collection came out. Everyone at the party thought it was very cute. Everything came together just as expected and Emersyn had a great first birthday!

New Collection: Green, Pink, & Chic
The idea for my newest collection came from an online friend of mine. She was planning her daughters first birthday and was stuck on a few different color combinations. She loved how beautiful and chic different hues of pink look together, but on the other hand she loved the look of bright green and pink together. So.. why not mix it!
Here is a sneak peek of a few of our items!

Featured Party: Micah's Green & Pink Birthday
The idea for this theme was brought to me by one of my good online friends. I met Tynesha when she was pregnant with her daughter Micah and I was pregnant with my second daughter Camille. (Cami) After seeing Micah grow for the past year I was SOO excited when she asked me to do Micah's party for her! She came to me with the idea of bright green and bright pink. She really loved the color combination but wanted something a little more chic.
This has been without a doubt one of the most difficult color schemes to try and work with. When I finally thought of a way to make it work I fell in love - I hope you do too!
This design will be available (sans cupcakes) in our Etsy Store and Website in the next few days.
Without further ado, here are the pictures from Micah's party!
1) Part of the party set up in the garage.
2) Napkin rings by Sugar Tree Press. I love that she used an extra napkin ring on the front of the bucket to add more decoration!
3) Her cupcake smash cake - so adorable. I give props to whoever decorated it. I am normally very artsy but when it came to decorating a cupcake that size for my oldest daughters birthday it came out pretty horrific.
4) Water bottle wrappers by Sugar Tree Press
5) The adorable birthday girl!
6) Miniature hershey wrappers. I really like the idea of putting them on the 'fun size' bars so you can see what you are about to peel into.
7) Birthday Banner by Sugar Tree Press. I love the idea of the streamers on the wall.
8) Cupcake Toppers by Sugar Tree Press
9) Candy & Sweets Buffet.
10) An age banner. This was not made by me but it's a really cute idea - I love when people do this. Also - more streamers!
11) Another shot of the buffet table. I love how she used an extra goody bag topper (by Sugar Tree Press) as a little sign on the table!
12) The sign of a successful birthday party.
That's all folks! If you would like to see your child's party featured please shoot us an email to sugartreepress@gmail.com

Featured Party: Makenna's Mod Monkey Birthday!
I was contacted by my friend Kellie who was planning a 'Mod Monkey' birthday party for her soon-to-be one-year-old daughter, Makenna. She showed me several products that she liked and I noticed a lot of similarity in the product design. They were very adorable, however, I didn't like that there were so many designers out there copying each other. So in true STP fashion I started from scratch. Using the colors she liked I started designing. One thing I really liked about working with Kellie was that she wasn't afraid to challenge me. She brought a lot of ideas to the table that I would have otherwise not thought of. With that being said here are a few images from Makenna's Mod Monkey Birthday party!
6. The little birthday girl getting into her candy bars! Note: High chair banner by Sugar Tree Press reads "I AM 1"
7. Cupcake toppers by STP.
8. One last shot of the adorable birthday girl.
1. The Invitation. |
2. Buffet tags for Makenna's Candy buffet. I designed and printed these cards, Kellie added the decorative ribbon.
3. Water Bottle Wrappers.
4. This table was set up with pictures of Makenna every month from birth to one year. I made tags to go with each picture. This is one of my favorite first birthday party ideas!

Vendor Show-December 2011
Our second and final vendor show of 2011 has come and gone. It was a good show, and the light snow that barely blanketed Southern Wisconsin really put us in the Christmas Spirit.
We headed to the show, with tons of product in hand and although we got there a little later than we would have liked, we got everything up and running in no time. The special thing about this show was that all the vendors were women and it was geared primarily towards women.
Many of the vendors there were selling Avon, Lia Sophia, Miché bags, Tastefully Simple or something of the sort. We were the only vendor there selling stuff that we made from a company we owned. We had many people come to us and ask us how we found out about Sugar Tree Press and how we started selling it. We then explained to them that it was our company and we owned it.
This show was only 4 hours long but it was busy with a steady stream of people coming though at all times. We had some sales and once again thought the show was a moderate success. As always, we learned a few things and are always continuing to think of ways to improve what we are doing.
We had a lot of ready made product and of course our trusty stapler Regis made an appearance. Here are some pictures :
1-Table set up
2-Regis with new friends. Please meet: Scissors-Sally Jesse Raphael, Pens-Abraham & a yet to be named companion.
3-Table set up
4-Our sign, which laid mostly flat with no additional help from scissors OR forks.
5-Our adorable chocolate bar snowmen. With fleece hats and scarves. Hats hand sewn by Lindsey.
6-Our assortment of cuppie toppers, including New Years, Snowflake, Penguin and Santa & Friends.
We have a lot of exciting things going on and are very eager to share all those things with you.
Check back soon!
